China has issued a warning due to heavy rains.
The national weather service of China today, April 19, announced a warning of the “blue” level in connection with heavy rains in some areas in the South-East and West of the country.
According to the forecast of national meteorological center, by Saturday morning, heavy rains are expected to fall in parts of the provinces of Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangdong, Gansu, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Guizhou, Chongqing and Tibet Autonomous region and Taiwan.
In some areas of Guangdong and Taiwan in the next 24 hours rainfall will reach 140 mm.
The met office has recommended local authorities to be alert in case of possible flooding, landslides and mudslides caused by heavy rains, and called to suspend work outdoors in hazardous areas.
China has adopted a four-tier system of warnings of adverse weather conditions, in which the highest risk is marked in red, followed by orange, yellow and blue.
